The Virtual Ejército del Aire recreates the Spanish Air and Space Force from the ground up. By combining flight simulation, technical depth and the traditions of the real force, we work to ensure that every wing, squadron and crew flies a credible, realistic and rewarding air capability.
Since the Ejército del Aire was established on 7 October 1939, the Spanish Air and Space Force has passed through many transformations — but always with the same core mission: to guarantee the sovereignty of Spanish airspace and to give the nation a permanent, credible air capability.
Our community rests on the same three pillars as its real-life counterpart: air operations across fighter, transport, tanker and surveillance wings; technical certification in line with international military standards; and maintenance & modernisation throughout each platform's service life, often spanning 30–40 years.
Increasingly this includes partnership within NATO and the European Union — common programmes such as Eurofighter, A400M and the A330 MRTT — which place demands on both interoperability and shared, standardised procedures.
Every decision and every sortie is led by four clear values — they form our compass when the requirements are set and the complexity grows.
We always act with the security and sovereignty of Spain as our overriding objective.
Technical depth, military understanding and a commitment to continual learning.
Transparency, objectivity and reliability across all processes, procedures and agreements.
Cross-border partnership, cluster thinking and innovative strength.
